1. SAFETY INFORMATION
Read all instructions carefully before installing or using the unit. It is important that you observe and follow the indications of all safety symbols: 0. BASIC PRINCIPLE OF
OPERATION You could be injured if you do not follow the instructions. CAUTION From our experience, we know that the natural flow of heat is
from a larger heat source to a smaller one. That is why the heat pump can transfer heat from a low to a high temperature source with great efficiency.
You could be seriously injured or killed if you do not follow instructions. WARNING
The advantage of a heat pump water heater is that it can provide more heat energy, normally 3 times greater than the input electrical power, extracting heat from the environment to domestic hot water without additional cost. Compared to a traditional water heater Like electric or gas, the pump heater usually has an efficiency of less than 1, so families can greatly reduce their DHW using this type of heater. The following data will offer more details.
You could be seriously injured or killed immediately if you do not follow instructions. DANGER
WARNING
The unit must be properly grounded.
A leakage breaker should be installed next to the power supply.

4.2.1 Checklist before commissioning
1) Checklist before test run. 2) Correct installation of the system. 3) Correct connection of water/air pipes and cables.
4) Change of heat source
4) Stable condensate drainage, good insulation of all hydraulic components.
§ The default heat source is the heat pump. If the room temperature is outside the range for the heat pump, the pump will stop, the unit will activate the heater automatically and show the LA icon ( ) on the screen. Then, if the room temperature returns to the operating range of the heat pump, the resistance will turn off and the unit will automatically return to heat pump. The LA icon ( ) will turn off. § If the target-set temperature is higher than the
maximum temperature (heat pump), the unit will activate the heat pump firstly at the maximum temperature, then stop the heat pump, activate the heater E to heat the water to the desired temperature.
§ If the resistance operation mode is manually activated with the pump running, the resistance and the heat pump will work at the same time until the water temperature reaches the target. So, if fast heating is needed, the resistance must be activated manually.
5) Adequate nutrition. 6) There should be no air in the water pipe or any of the
open valves. 7) The equipment must be protected from electrical leakage.
Sufficient pressure in the inlet water (between 0.15 MPa and 0.65Mpa). (≥0.15MPa)

USE:
§ The electric resistance will be activated once during the current heating process, if you want to apply the electric resistance again, press
§ If only one E heater is used, only around 150 liters will be heated, so a higher target water temperature should be set if the room temperature is outside the heat pump's operating range.
USE:
With an ambient temperature below -7ºC, the heat pump will see its efficiency drastically reduced, the unit will automatically switch to resistance mode.
4.2.3 Basic function
1) Weekly disinfection function In disinfection mode, the unit will immediately start heating water up to 65ºC to kill Legionella bacteria that might be in the tank. The icon will light up on the screen during disinfection. The unit will exit the disinfection mode when the temperature exceeds 65ºC, and the icon will turn off.
2)
3)
Vacation mode: After pressing the “Vacation” button, the unit will automatically heat the water to 15ºC in order to save energy during vacation days.
§ Defrost during water heating In the period of heat pump operation, if the evaporator has been frosted by the lowest low ambient temperature, the system will enter defrost automatically to maintain efficient performance (about 3~10 min). During defrost, the fan motor stops, but the compressor continues to run.
§ COP There are different COPs for different ambient temperatures. Normally, the lower ambient temperature results in a longer warm-up time, as it is less efficient performance.
§ When the room temperature is lower than 7ºC, the heat pump and electric resistance will be used in different proportion of heating capacity, in general, the lower the room temperature, the lower part of the heat pump will be the used proportion of the electric resistance. For more details, see Table 4-1 and 4-2.
§ About TCO and ATCO The resistor will be turned on or off automatically through TCO and ATCO.
§ If the water temperature is too high. If the temperature is greater than 78 ºC, the ATCO will automatically turn off the resistance and turn it on if the temperature drops below 68 ºC. If the temperature exceeds 85ºC, the TCO will automatically turn off the resistance, which will have to be turned on again manually.
§ Restarting after a long shutdown period § When the unit restarts after a long period of inactivity
(run test run test), it is normal if the outgoing water is not completely clean. Leave the faucet running and clean water will flow right away.
Unit working mode: If unit is OFF->press ->unit will turn ON->press ON/OFF
to set the desired water temperature (38-65ºC) ->press->the unit will select the mode automatically and start heating water to reach temperature.
